Create a SEPA XML file from Excel

Collect membership fees, tuition or invoices by SEPA Direct Debit, or pay salaries and suppliers in one go: upload your spreadsheet and download the SEPA XML file your bank accepts. Works with IBANs from any SEPA country.

How it works

  1. Choose whether you want to collect payments or pay.
  2. Fill in your details. Only the first time: they are saved on your computer.
  3. Upload your Excel file or paste the rows. No file? Download the template and fill it in.
  4. Click «Create SEPA XML file» and upload it in your online banking.
What do you want to do?
Your details (remembered in this browser)

Columns: Name, IBAN, Amount and, optionally, Reference. To collect payments, also Mandate ID (the reference of the direct debit mandate) and Date of signature.

Your bank details are not sent to any server: the file is created in your browser.

No rejected files

Every IBAN, amount and mandate is checked before the file is created, and we tell you which row to fix.

Official format

ISO 20022 files (pain.008.001.02 for direct debits, pain.001.001.03 for credit transfers), validated against the official schemas.

Your data stays on your computer

The spreadsheet is read in your browser: your customers’ IBANs are never uploaded.

What you need to collect direct debits

Your SEPA creditor identifier, which your bank gives you when you sign up for SEPA Direct Debit (for example DE98ZZZ09999999999 in Germany or ES12000B12345678 in Spain), and a signed mandate from each payer: its unique reference and the date it was signed.

Under the SEPA Core scheme you must notify the payer of the amount and date in advance (14 calendar days unless you agreed otherwise), and the payer can ask their bank for a refund of an authorised payment within 8 weeks.

Which banks accept it

The files follow the ISO 20022 2009 versions that SEPA banks accept for bulk direct debits and credit transfers. Some banks also offer newer versions; if yours only takes a newer one, tell us through the anonymous report or the contact email and we will add it.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes, for files with up to 10 payments, with no limit on the number of files. Larger files need the 30-pack (each file uses one credit) or Pro (unlimited).

Do you store my customers’ bank details?

No. The file is created in your browser and nothing is sent to our server. Only your own sender details are remembered in your browser for next time.

What columns does my spreadsheet need?

Name, IBAN and Amount; for direct debits also Mandate ID and Date of signature; optionally a Reference and BIC. Common header names are recognised automatically, and there is a template to download.

Core or B2B?

The tool creates Core direct debits, which work for consumers and businesses. B2B direct debits are not supported.
